6 Tips to Creating a Conscious Business
Tips to creating a conscious business model in the age of "busy".
We are inundated with messages to constantly sell, grow and build in businesses.
What if we changed up the traditional business model and instead opted for a thriving but sustainable and conscious business that serves both ourselves, out clients and the wider community?
Here are some simple ways to start consciously creating:
☽ COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE
Look at how you personally use language to describe your business. Look at how to market your business and the words you use to describe what you do - maybe review your communication about how you serve or what your provide. From a personal perspective swap terms like 'busy' for 'full'.
☽ SYSTEMS & AUTOMATION
Look for areas of your business you can streamline, create efficient systems, batch work and automate processes that free up your time
☽ SET BOUNDARIES
Be really clear on your boundaries with clients and friends (if they get upset then this is on them and their expectations of you and not actually your doing). If it feels like a "no" or "not right now" it probably is! I now put my hours in my email signature, I avoid apologizing if I don't reply on a Monday (my day off work) or am a few days late, I set expectations up early and I say "no" more than "yes".
☽ IMPROVE LIVES AROUND YOU
Look at ways you can serve your audience, clients and community at each point.
☽ BE STRATEGIC
Be super strategic in your business. Really sit down, find a mentor or strategist you relate well to if need extra support and really create a strategy for your future vision and then reverse engineer it to be achievable in small steps
☽ DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF
Honestly there will be peaks and there will be troughs in business - you need to ride these and "try" not to be overwhelmed. There is always solutions but some may require high expense but you need to remember what's the most important aspect in life... health and family.
